HR & Office Administrator
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized HR Administrator/HR Officer to join our growing team in Toronto. This role will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including, onboarding, training, employee relations, and administration.
The successful candidate will be a proactive and results-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to cultural engagement within the workplace.

Role & Responsibilities
Employee Relations:
· Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting pre-employment checks, and ensuring smooth integration into the company.
· Provide support to employees on HR-related matters, including employee queries, policy interpretation, and resolving employee concerns.
· Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including medical insurance, leave, and other allowances.
· Assist with the management of employee disciplinary issues and investigations.
· Training & development:
· Coordinate and administer employee training programs, including scheduling, logistics, and participant registration.
· Maintain training records and track employee development.
· Promote and support initiatives that foster cultural awareness and diversity within the workplace.
HR Administration:
· Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting pre-employment checks, and ensuring smooth integration into the company.
· Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.
· Support in payroll related duties for North America.
· Prepare and process HR-related documentation, such as employment contracts, personnel forms, and leave requests.
· Manage visa renewals, cancellations, and other related immigration matters.
· Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS system.
· Assist with the preparation of HR reports and dashboards.
· Ad-hoc support: assist with various HR projects and tasks as required.
Office Management:
· Manage office supplies, pantry and equipment.
· Coordinate office maintenance and repairs.
· Assist with the organisation of company events and meetings.
· Participate in and support company-wide initiatives that promote cultural diversity and inclusion.
Qualifications & Experience
· Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in related field. CHRP designation in progress an asset.
· 2+ years of experience in an HR Administrator or similar role.
· Prior experience handling company payroll for an international organization.
· Strong knowledge of Canada & US Labor Laws and HR best practices.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent customer service orientation.
· Demonstrated commitment to promoting cultural diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
