Director of Social & Content
The Director of Social & Content will lead Sokin’s global social media, content marketing, and communications strategy. This role is responsible for developing and executing a content-driven approach that builds brand awareness, drives customer engagement, and enhances thought leadership across key global markets. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO), the Director will oversee a team managing social media, sponsor activations, community engagement, and content marketing while ensuring alignment with the company's overall marketing and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute a global social media strategy to drive brand awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition.
- Oversee the management of organic and paid social media campaigns across platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
- Monitor social trends, platform updates, and emerging channels to optimise strategy.
- Set and track KPIs for engagement, reach, follower growth, and conversion.
2. Content Marketing & Storytelling
- Lead the development of a content strategy that supports brand storytelling, customer education, and thought leadership.
- Oversee the production of blog articles, video content, social media posts, case studies, whitepapers, and podcasts.
- Ensure all content is SEO-optimised and aligns with Sokin’s brand voice and tone.
- Work closely with the Product Marketing and Demand Generation teams to create compelling content that drives conversions.
3. Sponsorship & Community Engagement
- Liaise with sponsorship partners to plan and deliver co-branded content and social media campaigns.
- Build relationships with brand ambassadors, sponsors, and partners to maximise joint opportunities.
- Manage community engagement, responding to audience inquiries and fostering brand loyalty.
- Oversee social listening initiatives to track brand sentiment and industry trends.
4. PR & Communications
Work closely with PR & Media Relations to drive press coverage and thought leadership.
Support executive and brand positioning by crafting press releases, interviews, and media pitches.
Manage crisis communications and brand reputation across digital channels.
5. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build and scale a high-performing social and content team, with initial key hires including a Social Media Manager and a Content Manager to support execution and growth.
- Collaborate with Brand, Product Marketing, and Demand Generation to align messaging and campaigns.
- Partner with Regional Marketing Leads to ensure localised content strategies.
- Manage agency relationships and external vendors as needed.
6. Performance & Analytics
- Develop a data-driven approach to measure and optimise social and content performance.
- Regularly report on social and content marketing effectiveness, leveraging Google Analytics, social media analytics tools, and engagement metrics.
- Continuously refine strategies based on insights and performance trends.
Key Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in social media, content marketing, or digital communications.
- Proven track record in scaling social media engagement and driving brand growth.
- Experience in fintech, payments, or financial services is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of content marketing, SEO, and digital storytelling.
- Expertise in using social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, HubSpot, etc.).
- Experience managing sponsor activations and community engagement.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and scaling teams.
- Excellent copywriting, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Data-driven mindset with a strong understanding of analytics and social media performance metrics.
