Compliance Manager – Product
We're looking for a Compliance Manager – Product to act as the compliance lead embedded in Sokin's onboarding (CDD/KYC) and transaction monitoring change initiatives. You'll translate regulatory requirements into product requirements, drive delivery timelines, and ensure new client journeys, monitoring rules, and system configurations are compliant, evidenced, and audit-ready before go-live. This is a delivery-oriented role suited to someone equally comfortable in a regulatory conversation and a sprint planning session — working closely with Product, Technology, and Operations across Sokin's multi-jurisdictional licence footprint. Your impact will be measured by the compliance, quality, and audit-readiness of every onboarding and transaction monitoring system change delivered.
ABOUT SOKIN
Sokin is a next-generation B2B financial services provider, enabling businesses to make and receive global payments with greater speed, lower cost, and total transparency. Our mission is simple: we’re simplifying global business - so businesses thrive wherever they choose to grow.
We Deliver Services Across
· Global payments and receivables
· Foreign Exchange (FX)
· Treasury management
· Finance reconciliations
We are rapidly expanding, with established presence in EMEA, APAC, and North America. Backed by a strong global infrastructure and industry-leading partners, we are redefining how businesses move money worldwide.
Our clients span industries from sports and entertainment to logistics and travel, and our community is growing rapidly. As we continue to expand, we’re building a team of exceptional people who share our ambition to transform the future of global payments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Onboarding (CDD/KYC) Product & Projects
· Own the compliance workstream for onboarding-related product initiatives
· Translate CDD/KYC regulatory requirements across Sokin's licensed jurisdictions into clear product/business requirements for Product and Engineering teams
· Design and test risk-based CDD workflows within onboarding tooling
· Lead UAT and pre-launch compliance sign-off for onboarding system changes, ensuring configurations match approved policies and jurisdictional variations
· Manage relationships with KYC/identity verification vendors on project delivery, including scoping, testing, and performance monitoring of new capabilities
Transaction Monitoring Projects
· Lead compliance input into transaction monitoring system enhancements, and new product or partner requirements
· Translate Transaction Monitoring and Reporting regulatory requirements across Sokin's licensed jurisdictions into clear product/business requirements for Product and Engineering teams
· Coordinate model/rule validation exercises and ensure changes are documented to a standard that satisfies internal audit and regulatory examination
Project & Product Management
· Act as the compliance project lead on a portfolio of onboarding/TM initiatives
· Sit within product tribes as the compliance representative, providing timely regulatory input without becoming a delivery bottleneck
· Maintain a book of work for CDD/TM regulatory change and convert it into a prioritised roadmap with Product
Governance, Testing & Assurance
· Define and execute test plans and post-implementation reviews for onboarding/TM changes; maintain evidence packs suitable for regulator and auditor review
· Partner with the Three Lines of Defence framework, acting as a control owner for project-related changes and escalating residual risk appropriately
· Support internal audit, external audit, and regulatory examinations on matters relating to onboarding and transaction monitoring systems and controls
REQUIREMENTS
· 6–8+ years in financial crime compliance (AML/CFT), with meaningful exposure to CDD/KYC and transaction monitoring in a payments, e-money, or fintech environment
· Demonstrable experience working within or alongside product/engineering teams — e.g. writing requirements, running UAT, participating in agile delivery — rather than purely policy/advisory compliance
· Working knowledge of transaction monitoring systems (rule-based or model-driven platforms) and KYC/identity verification vendors
· Understanding of multi-jurisdictional AML/CFT regimes
· Strong project management skills — comfortable owning a roadmap, running governance reporting, and managing multiple concurrent workstreams
· Excellent written communication skills, able to produce BRDs, test plans, and governance papers usable by both engineers and regulators
· Professional certification (ICA, ACAMS, CAMS) or equivalent is desirable
· Prior experience with a regulator-facing remediation programme is a plus
· Familiarity with SQL or data querying to interrogate TM alert data and support rule tuning discussions is an advantage
Please note, candidates will need to have the right to work in the jurisdiction that they are looking to work in.
We are an equal opportunities employer committed to creating an inclusive work environment. As a growing global startup, we value agility and flexibility in our working culture. If you require any accommodations during the recruitment process, please let us know.
