Director of Content
About Us
Sokin is a next-generation B2B financial services provider, enabling businesses to make and
receive global payments with greater speed, lower cost, and total transparency.
Our mission is simple: we’re simplifying global business - so businesses thrive wherever they
choose to grow. We deliver services across:
• Global payments and receivables
• Foreign Exchange (FX)
• Treasury management
• Finance reconciliations
We are rapidly expanding, with established presence in EMEA, APAC, and North America.
Backed by a strong global infrastructure and industry-leading partners, we are redefining
how businesses move money worldwide.
Our clients span industries from sports and entertainment to logistics and travel, and our
community is growing fast. As we continue to scale, we’re building a team of exceptional
people who share our ambition to transform the future of global payments
About the Role:
As Director of Content, you will own Sokin’s global content strategy and the operating model
behind it. You will turn our company strategy, product innovation, customer insight and
market expertise into a distinctive body of work that builds authority with CFOs, treasurers,
finance leaders and the wider fintech ecosystem.
You will lead a distributed team across London, Dubai and New York, spanning content
strategy, writing, production and video. You will set the editorial bar, decide where Sokin
should lead the conversation and build a high-output production system that delivers quality
at pace.
This is not a role for someone who only manages a calendar or commissions work from a
distance. You will be a hands-on leader: shaping big ideas, editing important work,
developing senior voices and helping the team turn complex financial subjects into content
people actively choose to read, watch and share.
Key Responsibilities
Content strategy and narrative
• Set and continually evolve Sokin’s global content strategy, editorial point of view and
priority narratives.
• Translate business priorities, product direction and customer problems into a
focused editorial agenda for CFO, treasury and finance audiences.
• Create a clear architecture across thought leadership, product storytelling, customer
proof, campaigns, executive content.
• Identify the topics Sokin has the authority to own, and build recognisable franchises
and formats around them.
• Protect a consistent voice while ensuring content remains useful, specific and
relevant across markets.
Editorial leadership and production
• Lead the end-to-end development of flagship work, from the original insight and
brief through writing, editing, production and distribution.
• Work closely with the social team to translate core editorial ideas into platform-
native content that earns attention across channels. Use audience behaviour and
performance insights to strengthen future commissioning, creating a clear feedback
loop between what the team produces, how it is distributed and what resonates.
• Set a high editorial and creative bar across long-form, short-form and video content;
give direct, constructive feedback that improves the work.
• Personally shape and edit high-value pieces including reports, executive narratives,
major launches, customer stories, scripts and opinion-led content.
• Develop a repeatable system that turns one strong idea into multiple valuable
formats rather than simply increasing output.
Team and operating model
• Lead, coach and develop a distributed team of content producers and writers and
video specialists across London, Dubai and New York.
• Define clear roles, standards, workflows and decision rights so the team can move
quickly.
• Plan capacity and balance major strategic bets with the day-to-day needs of the
business.
• Build a modern, AI-enabled content operation that improves research, repurposing,
localisation and workflow efficiency while keeping human judgement and originality
at the centre.
• Manage specialist agencies, freelancers and production partners where external
expertise adds value.
Distribution and commercial impact
• Work closely with Brand, Social, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Regional
Marketing, Communications, SEO and Web to connect content with the full
customer journey.
• Ensure distribution is considered from the brief, with a clear audience, channel role
and intended action for every major asset.
• Use audience, engagement, search and commercial data to understand what is
working; stop low-value activity and invest further in formats that earn attention and
influence demand.
• Build a measurement framework that connects leading indicators such as reach,
returning audience and engagement quality with business outcomes including
product consideration, influenced pipeline and brand authority.
What success looks like
• Sokin has a clear and distinctive editorial point of view that its priority audiences
recognise.
• Flagship content earns attention outside Sokin’s existing network and becomes
useful to CFOs, treasurers and finance leaders.
• Senior leaders are known for credible, differentiated perspectives in the areas Sokin
wants to own.
• The team operates with clarity, speed and consistently high standards across
locations and formats.
• Content is demonstrably contributing to audience growth, product understanding,
brand authority and commercial demand.
• AI and smarter workflows increase the team’s leverage without producing generic or
low-quality work.
Requirements
• 10+ years of experience leading content in a fast-growing B2B technology, fintech,
financial services or similarly complex category.
• Evidence that you have built or significantly evolved a content operation, not only
inherited and maintained one.
• A strong portfolio of distinctive work across editorial, thought leadership, campaigns,
executive storytelling and video.
• Exceptional editorial judgement: you can find the sharp idea, simplify complexity,
improve a draft and recognise when work is not good enough.
• Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams, including people working
across different locations and time zones.
• Strong knowledge of content distribution, SEO and audience development, with the
ability to connect content choices to commercial outcomes.
• A practical understanding of how AI can improve the content system, paired with a
clear belief that technology does not replace taste, expertise or accountability.
• Comfort operating in a regulated environment where speed, accuracy and good judgement all matter
