Business Tooling Analyst - London
Business Tooling Analyst - London
Role Overview
We are looking for an ambitious, organised Business Tooling Analyst to join our team. At Sokin, we are building a world-class operational environment that gives our teams the tools, processes and support they need to work effectively as we continue to scale.
Business Tooling at Sokin is all about making the way we work simpler, more scalable and more effective. This role will play a key part in owning and improving the tools that underpin how teams collaborate, manage information and deliver their work across the organisation.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and helping people get more from their tools, while playing a hands-on role in the continued development of Sokin's global operating environment.
This role reports to the Director of Global Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Jira
Jira domain ownership – working alongside the necessary colleagues in the CTO and CISO organisations to overhaul user management alongside our Sokin AD implementation for true onboarding and offboarding access management
Take over day-to-day administration duties, including implementation of new projects and updates to workflows, custom fields and automations in-line with existing implementation principles
Identify, propose and implement overhauled processes and tooling that optimise team and departments in their daily ways of working
Complete a full clean-up of Sokin’s Jira architecture to reduce cognitive and processing overload and remove all unused and legacy items
Design and implement an easy-to-maintain and scalable permissions structure
Identify opportunities to implement/scale additional tooling and features available within the Atlassian platform, for both Jira Software and Jira Service Management
Review and overhaul Jira Service Management service portals and customer facing workflows
Confluence
Design, propose and implement an organisational wide Confluence design that fits Sokin’s team architecture and ways of working
Design and implement an easy-to-maintain and scalable permissions structure
Provide training and support across the Sokin organisation that allows employees to effectively use Confluence – from content creation to organisation and documentation discovery
Identify opportunities to, and implement, templates, processes, workflows and integrations that help optimise the creation, maintenance and availability of content
Requirements / What We're Looking For
Proven experience using, maintaining and optimising both Jira Software and Jira Service Management, as well as the wider Atlassian suite of features (such as Product Roadmap, Rovo AI)
Proven experience managing Jira and Confluence in a growing organisation, with a strong understanding of how to effectively utilise the Atlassian platform for process enablement
Hands-on experience configuring Jira workflows, custom fields, automations, projects, permissions and user access, with an eye for creating scalable and maintainable solutions
Confident with designing and maintaining Confluence structures that make information easy to organise, manage and discover across multiple teams
Comfortable reviewing existing tooling and processes – you can identify inefficiencies or unnecessary complexity, and take ownership of improvements we can make as we scale
You are an effective communicator – as you’ll be working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, you will need to understand their needs and translate them into practical solutions
You are confident providing training, guidance and support to colleagues, with the ability to explain technical or complex functionality in a clear and approachable way
You have a proactive, continuous-improvement mindset – you actively partner with business areas and enjoy finding practical ways to make teams more efficient through better processes, documentation and technology
Please note, candidates will need to have the right to work in the jurisdiction that they are looking to work in.
The main responsibilities of this role are outlined above; however, this description is not exhaustive, and the job holder may be required to undertake additional duties from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the department. The role may require some working outside our normal working hours.
