A Day in the Life: Senior Business development Manager
Ever wonder what a typical day looks like for a Senior Busienss Development Manager at sokin? While no two days are ever exactly the same, here’s a peek into what a fairly average day looks like for me.
6:30 AM – Morning Routine My day usually starts around 6:30 AM. I wake up, stretch, and try to avoid scrolling on my phone first thing (still working on this one). A quick shower, followed by a light breakfast—usually something simple like oatmeal or toast and coffee—helps me ease into the day.
8:00 AM – Work or Daily Responsibilities Begin By 8:00, I’m usually at my desk or out the door, depending on the day. I go through emails, check my calendar, and plan out my top priorities. I like to tackle the most mentally demanding tasks early, when my energy is highest.
12:00 PM – Lunch Break I usually break for lunch around noon. Sometimes it’s leftovers, sometimes a quick sandwich, and if I’m feeling fancy, I’ll actually cook something. I try to take at least 30 minutes away from my screen to reset.
1:00 PM – Afternoon Productivity The afternoon is a mix of meetings, ongoing projects, and catching up on whatever I didn’t get to in the morning. I often hit a bit of a slump around 3 PM, so I’ll make another cup of coffee or take a short walk to clear my head.
5:30 PM – Wrapping Up the Day I aim to finish work by 5:30, though that doesn’t always happen. I make a to-do list for tomorrow and shut down my computer to mentally mark the end of the workday. If I have errands or appointments, this is usually when I tackle them.
7:00 PM – Dinner & Downtime Dinner is a chance to unwind. Sometimes I cook, other times I’ll grab takeout or eat with friends or family. Afterward, I’ll relax with a book, a show, or scroll social media—just enough to decompress.
10:30 PM – Winding Down By 10:30, I’m usually in bed or getting there. I’ll do a little journaling or some light reading to help me disconnect. Then it’s lights out and time to rest up for another day.
Final Thoughts Of course, no two days are exactly alike, and I try to stay flexible when things don’t go as planned. But having a routine helps me stay balanced and productive. Whether you're looking for ideas to build your own schedule or just curious how others manage their day, I hope this gave you some insight!
